Mobile ad specialist Out There Media partnered with Ukrainian cellular operator Kyivstar

Mobile ad specialist becomes partner of Kyivstar, Ukraine's market leading operator. The deal will see Out There Media powering Kyivstar's SMS and portal ad offer with Mobucks, its multi-channel solution.

It kicked off with a Mobile Advertising campaign for Sony Ericsson that on June 1st. The campaign was a promotion for the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, and directed users to a custom-developed mobile mini-site through SMS messages and mobile banners.

The campaign, which ran over two weeks, produced 1.55 million page impressions and a click-through rate of 5 per cent.

Comverse Total Call Completion Suite Services Inform and Empower Kyivstar's Wireless Subscribers

Comverse, the world's leading supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communication and billing services, today announced that Kyivstar, the largest mobile operator in Ukraine with more than 23 million subscribers, has successfully launched two services — Who Called and Notify Me — from the Comverse Total Call Completion Suite. The new tools given by these services to the called and calling parties can significantly increase the call completion rate in the network.

MTS Ukraine ordered protection from fraud

Israeli fraud management firm, ECtel says that it has won a contract for its IRM solution for MTSs' operations in Ukraine. This first-time order from MTS, valued at several million US dollars, was awarded to ECtel following a competitive tender. ECtel was chosen to deploy both its fraud-management FraudView and revenue-assurance RAP solutions. In addition, ECtel will be deploying SS7 probes as part of the project to provide MTS with greater network monitoring capabilities.

MTS to bid for Ukrtelecom

Russia's largest cellco by subscribers Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) is lining up a bid for a 67.7% state-owned stake in Ukrainian national PTO Ukrtelecom, in an upcoming public auction this year. "We're really interested in Ukrtelecom," Andrei Dubovskov, acting chief executive of MTS Ukraine, the country's second largest mobile operator, told reporters in Kiev yesterday. He added that "we have been asked to send the government our views on how the auction should be held. We have done this, along with our competitors".

Sitronics signs contracts with MTS-Ukraine

Sitronics, a provider of telecommunications, IT and microelectronic solutions in Russia and the CIS, has announced that its telecommunications solutions business unit, Sitronics Telecom Solutions, Czech Republic, has signed two contracts with MTS-Ukraine (formerly UMC), a leading Ukrainian mobile operators, which provides services to nearly 20 million users. The total value of the contracts is approximately US$ 12.4 million.

Amdocs Gets Ukrainian OSS Contract

Ukraine based Kyivstar has deployed OSS (operations support systems) solutions supplied by Amdocs. The company worked in partnership with Ukrainian system integrator, S&T Soft-Tronik Ukraine, on the deployment.

i-Free becomes exclusive partner of Sony BMG in Ukraine

i-Free, a leading provider of mobile content services in Russia,* Ukraine and Kazakhstan, has been chosen by Sony BMG to be its exclusive partner in Ukraine. The deal gives i-Free-Ukraine access to music from the Sony BMG catalogue to be used in mobile content.


Thanks to the deal with Sony BMG, all Ukrainian mobile phone users will now have access to full versions of popular western music titles, and Ukraines mobile content market will only benefit from the new growth impetus.
