The summer had passed, and SmsCoin representatives proudly present their partners with an autumn gift – the connection of 9 additional countries: Italy, Vietnam, Guatemala, Honduras, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay. Nikita Mobile launches USSD-portal for Armenian mobile operator based on the WINGS platform
Nikita Mobile (Armenia) has won the tender for developing of mobile content USSD-portal for one of the three Armenian mobile operators. While creating the USSD-portal Nikita Mobile involved WINGS, who developed the platform for content providers. (Previously, Nikita Mobile transferred its own services to WINGS multi-transport platform supporting SMS, IVR, WAP, USSD, etc.). WINGS team conducted works on connecting the platform to the operator, realizing of transport protocol, integrating with the project information partner’s systems, and preparing statistics. The platform supports the direct interaction with the operator’s system and provides multiple information services and entertainment content catalogue to the subscribers. Withdrawal from the subscriber's account for the paid services is made by MT billing. The information partners of the portal have access to the USSD-portal online statistics.
SmsCoin introduced new features for its partners
International SMS billing provider SmsCoin announced the introduction of new set of features for its clients. There are 70 countries currently connected to SmsCoin system, and as the company has announced earlier that is hardly the limit. SmsCoin has simplified the process for its partners while working with current and future countries on the list by adding new features to our system. The first feature on the list is already implemented and working properly. This feature is an e-mail notification regarding rates updates. As soon as any kind of change made to rates key parameters as well as adding or removing new parameters takes place, a partner will be notified via your e-mail address.
Russian Aeroflot deploys cellular network on 4 airplanes
Russian flag-carrier Aeroflot is to equip four of its aircraft with in-flight mobile communications capability developed by a domestic company.
Moscow-based mobile network operator MegaFon is to provide base stations to be fitted to Aeroflot's aircraft. The first jet to be fitted will be an Airbus A320, with the initial installation completed by summer 2010. Aeroflot will extend the service to an Airbus A330, and plans to equip two more A320s, by the end of the year.

Russian MTS got Opera Mini special
Opera Software today announced that MTS, the largest cellular network operator in Russia and CIS, will now provide a co-branded version of the Opera Mini browser for its subscribers, who will be able to download it on their mobile phones at mini.opera.com. Subscribers of MTS will get access to a customized Opera Mini start page when they download the browser on their mobile phones.
The start page will have default bookmarks which give MTS subscribers quick and easy access to music, videos and games as well as giving users the opportunity to purchase content directly from the browser.
