Phonevalley launches Volvo's first mobile platform in Russia
Phonevalley, the world's leading mobile marketing agency, in partnership with ARC WW Russia unveils Volvo's first mobile Internet site in Russia named m.citysafety.ru to support the launch of the new crossover Volvo XC60.

IncoreMedia has launched interactive promotion campaign for MegaFon mobile subscribers. The campaign is dedicated to Eurovision music contest that will take place in Moscow this May. The promotion will last from 1st to 30th April 2009. All users of MegaFon PRO WAP portal and SIM-menu are encouraged to participate.
SIM-portal users, willing to take part in the promotion campaign, should answer several questions about the history of the international music contest of two difficulty levels and get the points for correctly answered questions. An answer for the question of the first difficulty level goes for 2 points, and an answer of the second difficulty level equals to 3 points. Two subscribers, who within 30 days get the biggest number of points, will be awarded with tickets for the contest final, which will take place in Moscow on May 16.
MTS claims its mobile advertising is 10 times more efficient than conventional ads
MTS, the biggest Russian and CIS mobile network operator, reports that its mobile advertising projects turned out to be a real success with click-through rate (CTR) in several advertising campaigns reaching up to 11%. Five per cent of those who received a message eventually bought the advertised product or sign up to the advertised service.
Currently advertising messages are delivered to more than 260,000 MTS subscribers. About 200,000 of those who opted-in for receiving the ads are using MTS-Sponsor service, and more than 60,000 have signed up for the advertising messages delivery. Eighty per cent of these subscribers have responded to the operator's offer of signing up to this advertising service. The rest 20% of those who signed up for the service, found out about it from other sources.
WapStart Plus1 reports the success of В«First LoveВ» movie promotion campaign in mobile web
Mobile ad network WapStart Plus1 (managed by mobile web specialist WapStart) finished promotion campaign of the movie called «First Love» on March 8th, 2009. The campaign was launched in cooperation with advertising agency Optimum Media OMD Group for Russian subsidiary of Buena Vista Sony Pictures Releasing CIS. WapStart claims that by their own estimates to date mobile internet audience in Russia totals 18 million people.
During two weeks all mobile web users had an opportunity to access mobile website http://mtskino.ru/1love/, where they could get to know more about the movie plot and download movie content to their handsets.
WINGS BlueCell Bluetooth marketing units to be installed in EniseyTelecom customer care centers
Wings has signed a contract with EniseyTelecom, the largest mobile network operator in Krasnoyarsk region, Taimyrskij autonomous district and Khakassia, to deliver Bluetooth-marketing devices WINGS BlueCell.
Bluetooth units will be installed in EniseyTelecom customer service and sales centers. These units (WINGS calls them «kiosks») allow customers to download a Java application called Subscriber Book, a mobile version of operator website, that includes description of EniseyTelecom offers and services, services user guide, contact information, etc. The application allows to directly sign in/off from the service, request bill status, send a message to email address, etc. The app is updated via GPRS.
Emerging market advertising expected to go straight to mobile
It's the so-called 'emerging markets' where advertisers are expected to most dramatically increase their spending on "third-screen" ad campaigns targeted specifically to users of mobile data services, says a new report from Pyramid Research.
Countries such as Brazil, China, Indonesia, Mexico, Roumania, Russia, South Africa, and Turkey are seeing huge increases in mobile penetration rates, and are effectively leapfrogging many users straight to the mobile Internet (without the tethered PC phase).
