Out There Media and MTS partner for mobile advertising in Ukraine
Out There Media, the international leader in Mobile Advertising, announces the signing of a partnership agreement with MTS, a leading mobile operator in Ukraine with a customer base of 17.74 million mobile subscribers and a 32% market share. The agreement enables MTS to offer targeted Mobile Advertising, through Mobucks™, the multi-channel Mobile Advertising marketplace technology developed by Out There Media. Out There Media is also responsible for monetization, sales, business development and operations support, within the partnership agreement. It is estimated that Out There Media now has access to more than 40 million mobile phones in Ukraine, which corresponds to over 80% of the country’s total mobile subscriber population.
MobileDirect lectures on mobile marketing in Moscow State University
Russian mobile advertising agency MobileDirect has offered master classes on mobile marketing in high schools, and recently has given the first lecture to students of political science faculty in Moscow State University.
Ten years ago special courses on «big internet» were read both to students and teachers in a trial mode. There were neither student books, nor lecture material. Today the history repeats itself with mobile internet. The significant example of the western market and stable mobile market growth in Russia let us say that marketing experts of new generation should have a good knowledge about mobile internet capabilities, so that they could use it in active products promotion on the market.
Promo Interactive introduces mobile ad platform AdCast
Promo Interactive (part of Next Media Group holding company) has launched its own mobile ad platform AdCast that can combine major mobile web sites and provides their advertisers with all essential tools for easy ad placement. The offered tools are suitable both for professionals and for those who have just started exploring mobile web opportunities.
AdCast provides a lot of targeting capabilities (time, geo- and demographic targeting) for setting up an ad campaign. In addition, advertisers can choose the maker and model of the mobile phone and cell phone carrier in order to get higher CTR.
Brand Mobile implements call-from-video technology
Russian mobile marketing agency Brand Mobile has announced the release of animation movie Faasuto Sukuwaddo with the interactive viral advertising campaign of the movie, launched at the same time. Visitors of the site www.dangerfrom.mobi can fill in the special joke's form, enter their friend's email and mobile phone number. Afterwards the user's friend receives a link following which he or she can watch a video clip. The clip is telling about a woman who is calling someone to share secret information. Simultaneously the user receives a call and listens to what the woman is telling.
Mobile ad market in Russia grew to $1,39 mln in 1Q09
J'son & Partners Consulting presents the key results of Mobile Ad and Marketing research held in August 2009. In the framework of the research the current status and dynamics of Russian and foreign markets have been analyzed. Research provides information about key market trends, mobile ad channels, case-studies.
According to J'son & Partners Consulting research the volume of Mobile Ad market equaled $ 1,39 mln. in 1Q 2009. It is expected that by the end of this year market will increase by 45% in comparison with 2008. In 2008 market showed double rise compared to 2007, despite the fact of overall ad market slowdown.
WapStart hit 10 million ad impressions a day mark
For the first time capacity of Russian mobile ad network WapStart Plus1 has exceeded 10 million daily ad impressions. On August 11, 2009 WapStart Plus1 served 10 million and 61 thousand banner ads. Since the beginning of the year WapStart ad network capacity grew by 70%.
Primarily this dynamics is caused by increase in number of WapStart mobile partner sites. Mobile web sites believe that cooperation with the network is an effective way to monetize their traffic. Since 2009 WapStart buys out 100% of its partner sites ad traffic.
Mobile ad network WapStart reports doubled mobile ads volume in 2Q09
In the second quarter 2009, the number of advertisers registered in mobile ad network WapStart Plus1 grew sequentially by 125%. The amount of ad campaigns in the network increased by 96%, ads by 62%. WapStart network capacity in the analyzed period grew thrice, exceeding 8 million ads served each 24 hours in June. Today WapStart connects about 140 mobile partner sites, providing about 10 million ad impressions per 24 hours. As the company claims, WapStart is the largest mobile ad network in Russia.
Beeline launched RBT advertisement service in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan cellular carrier KaR-Tel (part of VimpelCom, which operates under the Beeline trademark) has launched RBT-advertisement service named InfoTone for its subscribers. The service provides a sound file containing advertising information with musical background or subscriber's company anthem set instead of the standard tone by company workers for advertising purposes. Control and interface of the offered service is the same as in RBT-service FunTone available to all Beeline subscribers.
KaR-Tel expects that the service will be popular with subscribers working in marketing, advertisement and sales, as they will be able to use the nonstandard communication channel for informing their clients about the company, its new products and services, special offers, discounts, etc.
Mobile ad specialist Out There Media partnered with Ukrainian cellular operator Kyivstar
Mobile ad specialist becomes partner of Kyivstar, Ukraine's market leading operator. The deal will see Out There Media powering Kyivstar's SMS and portal ad offer with Mobucks, its multi-channel solution.
It kicked off with a Mobile Advertising campaign for Sony Ericsson that on June 1st. The campaign was a promotion for the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, and directed users to a custom-developed mobile mini-site through SMS messages and mobile banners.
The campaign, which ran over two weeks, produced 1.55 million page impressions and a click-through rate of 5 per cent.
