TELE2 Russia announced 3Q09 results
TELE2 Russia announced its consolidated results for the third quarter and 9 months of 2009 in Russia and plans for further development of these operations.
During Q3 2009 TELE2 Russia continued with its strategy of improving the operational contribution of its 17 mature regions to support the roll-out of commercial networks in its 20 new regions. In the quarter, 7 of the new regions were commercially launched: Bryansk, Novosibirsk, Tula, Tambov, Tver, Orel Regions and Adygei Republic. The market's response has been better than expected compared to the business plan.
Dmitry Strashnov Appointed New CEO of TELE2 Russia
TELE2 AB announced today that Dmitry Strashnov has been appointed new CEO of TELE2 Russia. Dmitry Strashnov succeeds Donna Cordner as she will be leaving the company.
Dmitry Strashnov has a strong background from his previous roles as Chief Operational Officer at TELE2 Russia, Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Lifestyle Sector at Philips in Russia, General Di-rector of Sales and Marketing at Electrolux in Russia.

J'son & Partners: 190.4 mln registered SIM cards in Russia as of February 2009
J'son & Partners reports that in February 2009 the number of registered SIM cards in Russia reached 190.4 million. Penetration rate in Russia increased to 134%, in Moscow region to 185%. Compound subscribers base increased by 1.1 million (0.56%) in February 2009. During February 2009 monthly subscribers base growth decreased by 44% since February 2008.
During last 12 months compound user base of Russian operators increased by 23.9 mln. subscribers, or 14%. In March 1, 2009 MegaFon took the first place in growth figures its subscriber base grew by 7 mln. VimpelCom (which operates under the Beeline trademark) got the second position, adding 6.6 new subscribers. The third place went to MTS with 6.4 new subscribers.

TELE2 Russia
, Russian subdivision of European alternative telecom operator, announced its consolidated results for the fourth quarter and the full year 2008 and plans for further development of its operation. The result of year 2008 is that TELE2 Russia has GSM licenses in 35 regions with approximately 61 million inhabitants. TELE2 is operating now in 17 regions with customer base of more than 10.4 million people and will launch at least 18 new operations during 2009-2010.

AC&M Consulting Reports Russian Cellular Subscribers Base Grew to 188 mln; Ukraine Has 55.8 mln
AC&M Consulting has published a report stating that number of mobile subscribers (valid SIM-cards) in Russia increased to 188 mln in December 2008. In Ukraine cellular subscriber (valid SIM-cards) base grew to 55.8 mln for the same period of time.

Beeline exchanges roaming for Far East
The Tele2 operator has started providing national roaming in Russian within Beeline's network. Tele2 explains that a 10-year strategic agreement on national roaming foresees the sale of the operator's daughter company in Irkutsk to Vimpelcom.
Tele2 has started providing national roaming on the basis of Beeline's network. Now Tele2 subscribers can communicate in all those regions not covered by the Sweden operator, if Beeline operates in the given regions. The company believes the given agreement enables it to pretend for the title of the fourth national mobile operator.
TELE2 AB announces structural and staff changes affecting TELE2 Russia
TELE2 AB (TELE2) announces separation of the operations in Russia to form a separate market. The TELE2 Russia CEO will be a Vice President of TELE2 and will report directly to Lars-Johan Jarnheimer, TELE2 President. Donna Cordner, the former TELE2's Executive Vice-President of Corporate Finance and Treasury, has been appointed CEO of TELE2 Representative Office in Russia. TELE2 express its' appreciation to Carl-Magnus Stenberg who has worked in Russia for five years. He ensured the company's entry to the market in 2003.

TELE2 Russia today announced its consolidated results for the fourth quarter and full year 2007. TELE2 Russia continued to combine solid customer intake with good profitability in Q4 2007. The customer base grew by 554,000 (compared to 859,0001 in 2006) and operating revenue reached USD 210 (136 in '06) million, an increase of 54 percent. ARPU was USD 8.58 (8.14 in '06) in Q4 2007. EBITDA reached USD 65 (36 in '06) million, which corresponds to an EBITDA margin of 31 (26 136 in '06 ) percent.
