i-Free partners up with Google to help disabled kids

i-Free.

i-Free has joined Google in «Help Me!», a humanitarian project for Russia. The proceeds will go to children with disabilities via the CAF Russia charity.

Help Me! is a charitable initiative undertaken by Google and the Russian YouTube Symphony Orchestra in conjunction with the philanthropic fund, CAF Russia. The two other project participants, i-Free and Chrono Pay, will make it possible to donate money by mobile phone, online or by plastic card.

Anyone can donate money to help children with disabilities; in return, the donor will receive a song from one of the Russian pop stars. Help Me! has recruited an impressive array of big-name Russian artists, representing most genres and styles of music.

The music videos and tracks available in exchange for donations are on the YouTube channel dedicated to the project at http://www.youtube.com/pomogimne.

All the proceeds will be handed over to specialized centers for children with disabilities care of CAF Russia.
i-Free takes care of the easiest way to donate in this project: by mobile phone. All the donor needs to do is text the word «help» with the number of the chosen music track to 4448.

The text reply will come with a WAP link to download the desired music composition to mobile phone.
«It's an honor for us to be part of the Help Me! project,» said Svetlana Kostochka, who is in charge of mobile marketing at i-Free. «We'll make sure people can donate to handicapped kids the quickest and easiest way. We promise that not a single text message will be lost, and all the money we raise for the project will go to the CAF charity.»

The first beneficiary for the project is the Therapeutic Training Center. More information about the center and its programs can be found at http://www.blago.ru/pomogimne, where you can also make a donation.

A text message to 4448 costs between 46 and 89 rubles (approx. $1,5 - $2,95) with different providers. Users can send any number of text messages to reach the amount they want to donate.
