VimpelCom (which operates under the Beeline trademark) reported that by the end of February 2009 the number of RBT-service FunTone users exceeded 600,000 subscribers. Ringbacktone service FunTone was launched in September 2007. The catalogue of tunes available for installing instead of standard dial tones offers 2 000 tracks.

FunTone quickly became one of the most popular Beeline value-added services. Service availability does not depend on the handset and does not require any special setup. The service is also very simple. Switching on/off FunTone and monitoring of the tunes is possible via SMS, WAP, IVR, and website www.funtone.kz.
