TELE2 Russia a Russian division of the European Telecom Holding, has announced the appointment of Roman Maksimov as the Regional Managing Director of TELE2 Kaliningrad. He will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Kaliningrad office, network roll-out in compliance with Tele2's standards, preparations for and commercial launch of the TELE2-branded network in Kaliningrad, its further development

In November 2008, TELE2 Russia announced the acquisition of the company Digital Expansion, holding GSM a license allowing to provide cellular services on the territory of the Kaliningrad Region. Currently, the arrangements for the network launch are in process, which will allow to render high-quality services within a bigger territory of the region than it was with the Digital Expansion network. The network will be put into commercial operation after this stage has been completed.

Biography of Roman Maksimov

Roman Maksimov was born in Russia. Graduated from the Novosibirsk Teacher-Training University. In 2007 was awarded a MBA certificate by the International Business Higher School at the National Economy Academy under the RF Government.

In 1997-2005 Roman Maksimov used to work as General Director in a number of companies, which sold and maintained mobile and office telephones, automatic telephone exchanges on the Novosibirsk market. In 2003-2005 he established and headed the company «Mobile World», which turned out to be one of the largest retail chains in Novosibirsk, as concerns a scope of interconnections to mobile operators in Novosibirsk. In 2006 Roman Maksimov worked as Macroregional Director of Siberian Federal District at the «Food-master» managing company, a federal restaurant chain of national and European cuisines, in 2007-2008 he was the Director of CIS Markets Development of the «First moving-staircase and elevator company».

In 2009 Roman Maksimov started to head the Kaliningrad office of TELE2 Russia.
