Byelorussian service provider ГУDОК (Belarus is one of the CIS countries) has announced that thanks to its new service automobile drivers in Belorussia will be able to get full, reliable and objective information about cars made in North America.

To get a report from CARFAX system a user should send VIN-code of the car (comprising 17 alphanumeric characters) by SMS to a short number 7788. In return the subscriber will get a text message with information about the car from CARFAX database. The user receives information about car model, model year, equipment listing, number of owners and traffic accident history.

The cost of SMS sent to 7788 is 9900 Byelorussian Rubles ($3.53).
