IncoreMedia launches Music Recognition in Kazakhstan with K'cell
IncoreMedia reports about the beginning of active expansion of its presence into VAS market of CIS. Since the beginning of February 2009 Music Recognition service has been available for subscribers of Kazakhstan operator K'cell. Today the service is also available for subscribers of Beeline, MegaFon and NSS in Russia.
K'cell is the largest mobile operator in Kazakhstan working with GSM-900 standard. Operator services are available in almost all cities and communities of the country. The number of its subscribers exceeds 8 million people. In K'cell network Music Recognition service is priced 75 Kazakhstan Tenge ($0.5).
The service doesn't require any additional settings or subscription. Subscriber should only dial short IVR-number while listening to the tune they want to recognize and point their mobile phone to the music source. In a few seconds after the call the user will receive an SMS containing information about the track its title, name of the artist and a link to operator's wap-portal where he or she can download it.
IncoreMedia is the only provider of Music Recognition service in Russia and CIS. The service has about 9 million tracks in the database. Prior to launch in Kazakhstan popular national content was added to the music database. Music Recognition is powered by Shazam platform.
