The third largest operator in Russia, MegaFon, has announced that the number of its subscribers using its personalized RBT service called «Zameni Gudok» («Change your tone») since late 2008, has exceeded 8 million. Such results were achieved two years after service launch in December 2006.

According to MegaFon, average penetration rate of the personalized ring-back tone service «Zameni Gudok» within MegaFon network in Russia is 18.9% and in some regions it is more than 50%. Number of monthly personalized RBT melody purchases has already reached 1.5 million. IDC analysts predict that personalized RBT services will surpass in popularity ringtones by 2010.
