i-Free has designed Russia's first QR reader: a mobile application for QR code recognition. With this solution, companies in the consumer market and B2B sector will receive a new, much more powerful communication channel to reach their customers.

i-Free, a specialist in mobile innovation solutions, was one of the first in Russia to start working on a QR reader application for mobile phones. i-Free's new QR Reader has significant advantages over similar products currently on the market.

First of all, the new reader is highly sensitive, and can read QR codes photographed in low light or at an angle. This is an important convenience for users, who can obtain reliable decoding irrespective of picture quality.

Another major advantage of the new reader is its Russian language interface. No other similar application on the Russian market comes with a Russian interface, making them difficult to use for non-English speakers.

"QR codes have revolutionized marketing and advertising worldwide, so we are positive i-Free's QR Reader will do well in Russia," said project manager Aleksander Shatulov. "Both businesses and consumers cannot fail to appreciate the new, revolutionary capability of this technology."

The application is now available to a limited number of phone models, but i-Free is working to extend its QR Reader to all major phone makes on the Russian market. The application is slated for full market rollout at the beginning of this autumn.
