MTS, the largest cellular network operator in Russia and CIS, has resumed publication of its content-providers ratings and published the rating of content-providers for third quarter of 2009. Top 5 companies in the rating are A1, IncoreMedia, Inform-Mobil, i-Free, and Neva Line.
In its ratings MTS takes into account the income its partners get from offering their content-services to MTS subscribers. The presented rating should help in informing about situation in content services market and current position of largest Russian content-providers.
- i-Free partners up with Google to help disabled kids-
i-Free has joined Google in «Help Me!», a humanitarian project for Russia. The proceeds will go to children with disabilities via the CAF Russia charity.
Help Me! is a charitable initiative undertaken by Google and the Russian YouTube Symphony Orchestra in conjunction with the philanthropic fund, CAF Russia. The two other project participants, i-Free and Chrono Pay, will make it possible to donate money by mobile phone, online or by plastic card.

i-Free, a leading provider of content services in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, is pleased to note that the market for downloadable mobile content is showing signs of recovery. In July, mobile content sales showed impressive growth for the first time since the crisis struck, and remained high in August, while the mobile content index appeared to be steadily on the grow.
In July, i-Free analysts noted a more than 30% growth in the sales of mobile content downloaded by users from catalogues published by i-Free in the print media. Sales remained equally high through August.

- JFC and i-Free encourage schoolchildren to order fruit by mobile phone-
i-Free, a leading provider of content services in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, has teamed up with JFC, the largest importer of bananas, in a promotion entitled «Send an SMS; Get a Banana.» From now on, St. Petersburg schoolchildren can order fresh fruit from JFC vending machines right in the school by sending a text message from their mobile phone.
JFC (trading as Bonanza!) has set up vending machines to sell bananas in a few St. Petersburg schools. The project was applauded by City Hall and welcomed by school kids and their parents. As an extra convenience for consumers, each JFC machine comes with an i-Vend GSM module, developed by i-Free to support vending by mobile phone.

- MegaFon Moscow and i-Free start working on mobile vending -
MegaFon Moscow and i-Free have started working together on mobile vending. The technology allows making purchases at vending machines with the help of mobile phone. The first coffee vending machine in Russia with mobile vending module was set to work in MegaFon Moscow office.
To buy a drink in this machine one doesn't need to have cash it's enough to send an SMS to a special short mobile number of the operator. After a few seconds the vending machine allows the consumer to choose a coffee drink from those on offer and they will receive an SMS with information on their phone.
- i-Free launches new services in India- i-Free, a provider of mobile VAS in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, has launched two new mobile services in India, customized to the local market: a cricket scoring game and SMS holiday greetings. The services are available to the subscribers of Reliance, India's premier CDMA operator. i-Free continues to enlarge its service portfolio in India. As one of the largest service developers for Indian mobile operator Reliance, i-Free has launched its new services - mobile cricket and text greetings - in its CDMA network.

- i-Free launches CNBC business news portal in India- i-Free has launched a WAP portal, bringing local business and financial news to the subscribers of Airtel, India's largest mobile operator.
